Below is a concise overview of events related to the gevolution user and developer communities.
gevolution users' meeting¶
The gevolution developer and user community applies the code across diverse research topics and is distributed across institutions worldwide. It is mutually beneficial to meet and exchange experiences and results. A gevolution users' meeting has been organized five times in the past, in Geneva (2017), in London (2019 and 2020), in Zurich (2022), and most recently at Seealpsee in 2024.
The next users' meeting is planned for February 3rd-5th in Prague.

Hackathons¶
The gevolution development team has attended the CSCS hackathon in Lugano twice, in 2015 and 2024, with the goal of GPU-porting the LATfield2 numerical back-end of gevolution.
